Certain topics lend themselves to virtual discussions. Quantifiable data, for example, can easily be discussed, even among people who aren’t sitting in the same room because they’re on conference calls or video chats. Presenting visual content to someone who can’t see the images being discussed, however, is somewhat more of a challenge. Notism is a tool that aims to solve this problem, but creating a way for professionals to interact with others and gather feedback on their visual designs.
Once you have an account with Notism, you can drag and drop your designs directly into the app. Begin adding “hotspots” to each image you upload, and invite colleagues, clients, and team members to view or edit the work you’ve put up. The hotspots you’ve added provide guidance to the people viewing your content, and let them know exactly which areas you have questions on. You can also add “feedback notes” to your image, as a way to gather specific advice from selected colleagues. Categorizing these notes (for example: design, development, usability, or wording) makes it easy to keep the information you collect organized as your project continues to progress and as you create new iterations of your work.
Notism understands that some people work better with words than images, which is why the application can be set up in Design or List mode. When you use Notism in List mode, the application looks similar to a basic project management system and collaboration app. Colleagues can leave comments for each other and mark projects as “complete” or “approved” when they’re done.
