CopperEgg is a tool that people can use to monitor their servers, websites, and mobile apps from any iPhone, iPad, Android, or desktop computer. With 15-second checks 24 hours a day, CopperEgg is able to monitor uptime and notify its users immediately when trouble is afoot.
Sign up for a CopperEgg account to get API access and custom alerts. Select whether you’re interested in monitoring a server or monitoring a website, and then create a test (also known as a “probe”) by entering the URL, protocol, frequency, and other identifying factors. Once you’ve gotten the system set up, you’ll be able to monitor your website’s health from the CopperEgg dashboard page, keeping a close eye on response times, uptime percentages, and current connection times. CopperEgg runs performance checks every 15 seconds, and notifies you immediately via Twitter, HipChat, PagerDuty, Campfire, Webhooks, or email when problems do come up.
In addition to telling you what’s going on with your website or server in real-time, CopperEgg can also use historical data to compare current performance indicators to those from up to one year ago. Find out if your website is running more slowly now than last month, and find out how long it’s taking the average user to connect. Businesses can also set up individual accounts for employees, with restricted access based on each staffer’s unique clearance levels.
