Itembase is a web-based application that automatically pulls confirmation emails from its users’ inboxes, and then uses the data from those emails to create complete personal inventories with receipts, warranties, and product information.
Sign up for Itembase with your email account — the application connects with Gmail, along with other email services — and then sit back while the purchase-related emails in your inbox are automatically pulled out by Itembase. Itembase will use the information contained in these emails to create your personal inventory. Once that digital product inventory has been created, you’ll be able to scroll through a complete list of all the items you’ve purchased online. You can then group related products together to create custom collections.
In addition to seeing your purchasing history and viewing the total value of all the items you’ve bought, Itembase gives you a way to track warranties and quickly pull up individual invoices or receipts. This feature is especially useful if an item breaks, or if it needs to be returned to a store for any reason. Itembase will also send you reminders before your warranties expire, and it tracks the current resale value of most items already in your possession.
