What’s the hardest part of planning a group event? For a lot of people, it’s finding a date and time that everyone has free. Flexvite is a new application that thinks it can change that, by giving users an easier way to schedule meetings with friends and colleagues. Rather than shooting dozens of emails back and forth to determine which days everyone has free, Flexvite users can let all their friends “vote” on the best date for a particular event in one centralized location.
Anyone can use Flexvite, and there is no extensive sign-up process that’s required to join. To get started planning a new event, simply enter the occasion, the location, the time, and a few of the preferred dates you were thinking about. Then, add your friends’ email addresses and click send. In an instant, your friends will receive custom email invitations asking them to vote on which days would work best for their schedule. Flexvite features an easy-to-understand layout that lets your guests vote “yes” or “no” for each date possibility on a visual calendar that is set up based on your own specifications.
Flexvite gives your attendees 72 hours to make a selection, after which the system will announce which date received the most votes and won. Or, if everyone on your invite list agrees to a specific date before the three day voting period is up, then Flexvite will send out a noticed letting everyone know which date was selected. From there, you can automatically upload the event to iCal, Google Calendar, Yahoo! Calendar, or Outlook. Whether you are planning a business lunch or a family reunion, Flexvite is an application that can simplify the process of getting people together.
