FastDue – The Invoicing Tool Suite

ss-fastdue

Whether you are running a small business, are a freelancer, or you’re simply handling the occasional side job, you almost always need to use some sort of form. Forms can range from invoices to contracts and a new website called FastDue provides a way to have the forms you need right at your fingertips. The site’s slogan is ‘collect anything, from anyone, anywhere’ and the range of tools it has is certainly impressive.

We started by testing the invoice tool, which is automatically populated with your name and email from the registration process. You can add details of the customer you are invoicing, add an invoice number and even add your own company logo. Just choose your collection method, add comments, and incorporate any optional documents to complete the invoice. You can automate reminders for unpaid invoices too. Once you are happy with your invoice, just press send to put it in the hands of your customer. You can keep track of what’s outstanding and what’s been paid in a simple online interface.

That’s not all that FastDue offers. It has a wide range of legal agreements that you can customize, such as non-disclosure forms, complaint forms and expense reports – a valuable resource for the entrepreneur with limited startup costs.

Practical Uses:

  • Create customized non-disclosure agreements for freelance work
  • Send a complaint to a company that you are unhappy with and track their responses
  • Keep track of expenses for your business trip
  • Have an at-a-glance view of accounts receivable for your small business

Insider Tips:

  • Customize forms with your own logo and company details
  • Import addresses from Outlook or another contact manager to create a ready made customer database
  • Automatically copy invoice emails to your accountant to reduce the headache when it is time to do your taxes
  • Negotiate contracts online and get them signed digitally with FastDue
  • Change the currency to invoice clients in different countries

What we liked:

  • The site has a clean interface
  • There are more than a dozen commonly used forms available for customization
  • The site provides plenty of help on how to use various forms
  • The forms include interactive messaging for tracking discussions and agreements

What we didn’t like:

  • We liked everything and plan to use FastDue a lot more in the future
