ManyMoon – Collaborative Online Task Management

ManyMoon is an online task management application that allows you to manage both private and shared tasks. It allows project tracking and collaboration with others. When you sign up, you are invited to create a project with a name, contacts, due date and description. This worked well and led to a screen where you could create individual tasks for each project. We found it easier to use the sidebar task creation menu, as this worked quickly and efficiently.

After creating projects and tasks, ManyMoon enables you to develop milestones for each project. Documents can be added to any project, either by uploading them from your computer or importing files from your Google Account. ManyMoon also supports the linking of external web pages or web sites to particular projects.

Practical Uses:

  • Collaborate on the writing and editing of instructional documents with a team
  • Develop realistic plans and timelines for your home improvement projects
  • Use ManyMoon to manage your staff of designers and stay on track of work progress

Insider Tips:

  • When creating project tasks, use the drop down options menu to set milestone dates, task priority and who’s responsible for the task
  • Use the sidebar menu for easy task creation and management
  • Upload documents from your Google Account to allow easy collaboration
  • Import your contacts from major email providers like Gmail to enable easy collaboration with your co-workers

What we liked:

  • Entering calendar and task data was easy
  • Importing contacts to assign tasks
  • File storage space is included
  • We enjoyed the daily project summaries via email

What we didn’t like:

  • Upon signing up, users are dumped straight to an invite screen before even exploring the application
  • The site hung while saving tasks, so several of the tasks we created weren’t saved
  • Our imported LinkedIn contacts were not saved due to an error

I would recommend checking out for an online task manager.

You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, and a calendar.
Syncs with Evernote, and also comes with mobile-web version, and Android and iPhone apps.
