Quotient – Professional Price Quotes

If you expect to charge a premium for your business services, then you’d better be prepared to justify the cost. Quotient is a web-based pricing application that even the small businesses and freelancers can use to send professional looking price quotes to potential clients and vendors.

When you use Quotient, you can unhook your printer and say goodbye to the fax machine. The price quoting application works completely through the web, allowing you to send price quotes to potential clients without waiting days or weeks for a response. Before your clients can start accepting quotes, you’ll have to send some out. Create a price quote with or without a template, making sure to include line items with descriptions for each cost you’re expecting to incur. Quotient will auto-complete your contact information, and your client will receive an email notification that his or her quote is ready to review. After clicking on an encrypted link and reading the quote you’ve sent, this client can comment on the quote and ask pertinent questions in the ‘discussion’ section of the page. Or, he or she can click once to accept the quote as-is.

Quotient’s analytics tools will show you how many times your quote has been opened, and when it was last reviewed. The web application also lets you withdraw quotes and make necessary edits at any time, even after the quote has been sent. Old quotes can be setup to automatically expire if too much time passes without a response, and you can search through an archive of these unaccepted quotes by keyword at any time.

  • Find out whether a potential client has reviewed the quote you sent last week
  • Receive a quick reply when quoting a pricing for your carpentry business
