Infogr.am – Interactive Infographics

Lines of data and basic charts are easy to overlook, which is why an increasing number of reporters, editors, publicists, and marketers are using infographics to present important research in a way their readers and clients will actually understand and pay attention to. Infogr.am is a tool that anyone can use to make interactive infographics that stand out from the pack.

Register for Infogr.am and then decide whether to start by making a new infographic or a new chart. Regardless of the option you choose, you’ll need to pick out a pre-designed theme. Select a style that matches your subject or your online publication, and then start filling in all the data you plan on including. Infogr.am gives you plenty of options for customizing your infographic, making it easy to add additional charts, pictures, titles, text, and quotes. You can change the width of your infographic at any point, and you can drag and drop various elements within your infographic to give the design an entirely new feel.

When you’re done making edits to the infographic you designed, save it to your library or click “Publish.” Infographics created with Infogr.am can be published on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, or viewed on the web. The best option in most cases, however, is to use the embed code to place the infographic directly on your website or blog.

Practical Uses:
