Line.do – Memorialize Events With an Interactive Timeline

ss-line
Great events are often the culmination of hundreds, or even thousands, of individual moments. Line.do is a platform that people from all walks of life can use to track those individual moments with customized timelines meant to share the specific stories that need to be told.

Log in to Line.do with a Facebook account to begin. In order to create your first timeline, you’ll need to select a topic or a theme and then start adding “moments.” Individual moments are represented on your timeline as small green dots. Dates are the only required field when adding a moment to a timeline. Whatever else you choose to add to represent a particular moment (like a description, a photo, or a video, for example) is up to you. Line.do supports images, and automatically embeds videos and audio files from YouTube, Vimeo, and SoundCloud. Move the moments you’ve added up or down your timeline using the arrow button any time, until you feel that the story you’ve created is complete.

Line.do provides plenty of tools for sharing your timeline, along with browsing through the timelines made by other users. Although you will need an account to create a new timeline, Line.do lets you browse and share previously created timelines without signing up.

Practical Uses:

  • Share your family genealogy with a visual timeline
