Wed.is – A Fresh Take On Registries

ss-wed.is
The founders of Wed.is have taken the pain points out of wedding registries. Their web-based application provides couples with the tools to create custom registry pages filled with products from any retailer with an online or offline store.

Before guests can visit your online registry, you’ll have to create it. Design your own page from within the Wed.is editor, making sure to select a background, typeface, and color scheme that fits in with the theme of your event. Next, you’ll want to start adding items to your wishlist. These are the items that guests will see when they visit your registry page. To add items to your wishlist, click Wed.is’ “Want-It” button when you see an item in any online store. Wed.is will automatically pull all the relevant information — including the item name, price, and desired quantity — from the store into your registry. Using the iPhone app, you can also add items from brick-and-mortar shops to your registry. When guests click on the item from your registry webpage, Wed.is sends a confirmation email that includes a link to the item at the original shop, along with information about how you’d like the item to be delivered.

Wed.is stands apart from competing web-applications with a slew of bonus features, which include the ability to accept cash gifts through bank deposits or PayPal fundraising accounts. The application also gives guests the option to split the costs of larger gifts.
