Manually resizing and editing large batches of images is a time consuming process, but for the average person without access to expensive photo editing software, it’s something that can’t usually be avoided. Until now. Sizzlepig is a cloud-based tool that people can use to scale, crop and edit multiple images with just a few simple clicks.
Get your photos into the sizzlepig platform by uploading them manually or linking sizzlepig to your Box, Dropbox or Google Drive account. Once you’ve verified your account, you’ll automatically get 100 free images. Choose which images to use in your new project and select where sizzlepig should save your processed files. Use the “Blueprint” feature to select the size of the photos you need. In addition to changing the file size, you can also adjust the image compression and unsharp mask. Sizzlepig can even create a version that’s twice the size of your original images for retina displays. Continue fine tuning your images until you’re satisfied with the cropping and scaling for each photo, and then sit back while sizzlepig does its work.
Sizzlepig is an excellent tool to use when you need to create multiple sizes of the same image for a project. For example, when you’re resizing a website image for users on smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices. Sizzlepig says its automated process is 3x faster than writing scripts, 20x faster when replacing files, and 5.5x faster from beginning to end.

Stephanie, thank-you for taking the time to review sizzlepig. We appreciate your review and look forward to adding social elements, including creating team projects. Any other comments are always welcomed, we created the tool because we were tired of scripts and the loss of creative control when building apps and sites for clients. We use it ourselves for our project work.
Happy 2014 from the sizzlepig team.
Cheers,
Andrea (grit-design.com and sizzlepig.com)
