Document and image collaboration applications are a dime a dozen, but finding ways for teams to internally annotate, review, and approve videos has always been a bit harder. Remark is an application designed to replace emails, phone calls, and in-person meetings throughout the video collaboration process.
Remark understands that most video content producers are tied to the hosting services they currently use. With that in mind, the application’s developers created a process that enables users to collect time stamped feedback on videos without switching away from their existing hosting services. Just upload your video on Vimeo, Dropbox, Box, or YouTube like you always would, and drop a link into Remark. Invite collaborators to participate in the editing process, or share your video privately with a unique link. Your collaborators will immediately be able to use Remark’s “viewing room” to annotate your video with time stamped feedback.
The feedback you collect through Remark can quickly be exported to whichever video editing software you currently use, allowing you to see which team members left which annotations even after you’ve moved outside of the Remark platform. In addition to its browser-based platform, Remark provides a native application for iPad users.
