Liquid Planner – Flexible Project Planning

ss-liquidplanner

Whether you are an individual handling a private project or a company running several projects with different clients and teams, you can use project planning software. Liquid Planner puts the project planning tasks you need online in an easy to use interface. Liquid Planner is organized in containers for task lists, projects, folders and clients and you use these to manage your schedule. It’s easy to start a project and then add tasks which you can see in an easy to understand outline view.

Tasks can be grouped in different ways, either by priority or by clients, projects and folders. Each of these has advantages depending on whether you want to focus on what is most important or get a snapshot of particular areas of work. One of the great features of Liquid Planner is that it allows you to set flexible start and finish dates for projects, recognizing that not every project will begin or end exactly when you plan. This is a good, flexible planning tool and if you are comfortable with outlining and tree-like views, you will find it easy to use.

Practical Uses:

  • Track tasks company-wide to get an overview of project planning
  • Manage projects for several clients
  • Share documents with colleagues and clients and keep track of all changes within the Liquid Planner system
  • Keep track of an entire team’s schedule from a single interface

Insider Tips:

  • Use a single workspace for your company to facilitate scheduling and viewing scheduling
  • Put a watch on items of interest to get immediately up to date with current progress
  • Change groupings to see different views of the tasks and projects under way
  • Make notes on documents shared within Liquid Planner so that all discussion is collected in a single space
  • Find any item easily by using the search tab to search within the text for specific phrases

What we liked:

  • You can be a member of several workspaces at once
  • You can create time sheets within Liquid Planner and link them to billing
  • Collaboration is easy because notes and links can be attached to all systems within Liquid Planner
  • Deleted items can easily be retrieved

What we didn’t like:

  • Those who have trouble reading Gantt charts may find it difficult to understand the schedule view

  1. Thanks for the review. For past 2 years I’ve tried many project planning softwares for my enterprise, but I was not satisfied with it. Now am using “PlanningForce its really efficient. It gives me more feature than any other softwares.

  2. Nice !!
What i have seen when doing projects is the use of a project management system. This really helps to get more opportunities of getting new projects as the client gets a better impression of professionalism. Like in our company we used basecamp (www.basecamphq.com) as well s liquid planner for project management purposes and it changed the email email games we used to play. After Basecamp we have tried so many of the alternatives available today but everything seemed to be either complex with all those functionalies which were not even useful rather made the management process even more difficult. It then came to mind that Basecamp was actually better till the time we found a new product called Proofhub. Though now we use Proofhub Proofhub as our project management system you can use some but this 1 is the best from all that we have used and at a good price.
    Thanx for the post

I would like to know how it compares to e-room.

  4. Another great software suite to check it is http://www.projectmanager.com

Liquid Planner is good, but we chose to use Wrike (www.Wrike.com). We really liked Wrike’s flexible structures, which allows to keep all of your projects within one workspace that you can easily customize. And Wrike’s pricing plan was more suitable for us.

  7. http://www.hyperoffice.com is another option. we recently added task dependencies and interactive gantt charts. These are advanced features most suites dont have.

socialwok and peago has been discontinued and those systems are no longer operating

    • Hi,What you need is a wedding pnaenlr. In Rincon there are several wedding pnaenlrs that work with small groups that could answer all your questions. I was married on the beach in Rincon and we had 22 guests. The place where I got married closed (El Molino de Quixote), but I can recommend this: 1) Get married in the states by judge. Here it is a hassle. They make things so complicated.2) Get married here in a ceremony. In Rincon ship captains can marry folks, and there is one who also doubles as a photographer, Ted, one of the owners from the Lemontree Hotel. 3) Check with several wedding pnaenlrs so as to get a sense what the cost will be. Consider renting a beach villa where you can place most of your guests and where you can have your ceremony and reception. My brother was married at Villa Orleans, and there were about 50 guests. Those that couldn’t stay at the villa stayed at the The Lemontree which is within walking distance. The local paper Coqui of Rincon’s December issue is about weddings. You can go to their website and download the pdf version and start your research there.Good luck, and thank you. You just reminded me my anniversary is coming up. We were married right after New Year’s.

How about Replicon project management software?

  10. Mavelink and LiquidPlanner are definitely leaders. A good alternative is Easy Projects (http://easyprojects.net/ ). It has all the features of the first two and some more. Unique feature is Custom Forms, a fanstastic tool for those who seek to collect data by way of quizzes, or online questionnaires.
