Stay.com lets you do just that, giving users a way to create their own destination guides for 50 of the world’s most popular cities with just a few simple clicks. By browsing through a listing of each city’s top hotels, restaurants, bars, and attractions, users can create customized travel guides that reflect their interests to a tee.
Before you can get started creating a travel guide with Stay.com, you’ll have to figure out where you’re going. Choose one of 50 top cities, and start clicking through photos of the city’s top highlights. When you come across a hotel, restaurant, or attraction that looks like something you’d enjoy, just click on the “Add to Guide” tab and keep browsing. As you continue browsing through your options, you can glance at the custom guide you’re putting together on the right side of the page. When you’re satisfied with the number of restaurants and attractions you’ve added, click the “View Guide” button. You can name your guide whatever you wish, add notes to better explain the theme of your trip, and share your plan with friends and family via Facebook, Twitter, or email. Click “Preview Guide” to see the product you’ve put together, and download a PDF version of the guide to print whenever you’re done.
If you’re less interested in putting together your own guide and more interested in seeing what other users have done, Stay.com will let you do that, too. The application has suggested guides for each of its 50 top cities, which can be downloaded by themselves or added to the custom guide you’re already putting together.
