ContactMe – Grow Your Business

Businesses always want new customers, and ContactMe is a web-based application that aims to make that happen. By providing the types of online tools that help small businesses grow and stay organized, ContactMe makes it easier for entrepreneurs to spend less time on day-to-day tasks and more time impressing clients, generating new leads, and hopefully increasing sales.

Don’t be fooled by ContactMe’s initial focus on creating contact lists to keep track of clients and vendors. The contact lists generated with ContactMe aren’t just for storing names, phone numbers, and addresses. Once you’ve gotten plugged into the system, you can use contact lists to keep track of the status of any client and store personal information that could be useful in later contract negotiations. Include photos, birthdates, referral information, and other notes in any client’s online file, making sure to include a status update to let everyone in the company know where that client is at within the sales cycle. ContactMe also offers task-based to-do lists to help keep you accountable for your time. Any task can be attached to a client, sending automatic reminders when it’s time to follow up with a phone call or email. If that follow up phone call results in an in-person appointment, then you can add that meeting to your ContactMe calendar. Not only does ContactMe keep all of your company information in one centralized place, but it also tracks the emails you send to clients and automatically stores that information in the clients’ files.

Most importantly, the application makes it easy for businesses to create a digital “Contact Me” button that can be customized to fit in with any company’s website design. When customers click on the button, they’ll be taken to a pop-up contact form that allows potential clients to contact your company for additional information without ever having to pick up the phone. By eliminating redundancy and increasing efficiency, ContactMe frees up more time for business owners to pound the pavement and find new clients.

Practical Uses:

  • Generate more sales leads
  • Keep track of the latest status of each client
  • Never lose track of important client correspondence
  • Stay on schedule by using ContactMe’s calendars and to-do lists

Contactme has lousy customer service. Like the kind where it becomes a game to them and you have to resend multiple emails because they go out of their way NOT to answer your questions or fix problems with your account.

Plus, beware, they use a 3rd party billing service that wouldn’t recognize my log in. Tried in vain to get problems addressed with Contactme, instead got form mail and worthless replies from people with names like Tham, Ying, Ra, and Sham. Would you like to pay money for a control page that sends you to error pages when you click on links?

Contactme is part of a much bigger company (hence the lousy support)

And they don’t have phone support, so good luck trying to cancel your account. You have to email them to do that. Not fun. Not worth paying for.
