Splendid Bacon – The Super-Lean Project Management App

Ever wonder how other people stay organized when managing multiple projects at once? With a site like Splendid Bacon, a web-app that was put together with the basic assumption that traditional project management applications include too many senseless features that few people really need. Instead, Splendid Bacon cuts through the fat and presents users with a bare bones dashboard and integrated timelines that make it easy to see an overview of everything that’s going on in a company at any given time.

If you prefer using web-apps with bright, friendly colors, then Splendid Bacon probably isn’t for you. Purposefully designed with a dark color scheme, Splendid Bacon foregoes the niceties and gets right to the point. From the dashboard page, you can see each project your company is currently working on. Each project box shows the current status, latest activity, and a countdown to when the project is due. You can see what each employee is working on from this main page, as well. Click on the name of a project that you’d like to see more about to review the activity log with all the latest status updates from team members. If you’ve got an update of your own, you can post it right there on the project page.

If you prefer to see projects laid out in a more visual way, then click on the “Timeline” feature to see all of your company’s projects organized in a calendar-like format. For small businesses that could do without all the frills typically associated with some of the more robust project management applications, Splendid Bacon could be the perfect solution. Not only is the application powerful and effective, but it is completely free to use.
