RealtimeBoard – A Modern Take on Whiteboards

ss-realtimeboard
There’s a reason why whiteboards have become so ubiquitous in offices around the world. When it comes to visualizing ideas and collaborating with groups, it can be hard to beat the speed and simplicity of a traditional whiteboard. RealtimeBoard believes it has found a way to make the whiteboard even better, developing a web-based platform where groups can brainstorm and manage projects with people located around the globe.

The most glaring flaw in the traditional whiteboard is that people usually have to be sitting in same room in order to see what’s being written on it. When you use RealtimeBoard, you can stick images, videos, and documents from your device (or the web) directly onto your board. Write and draw on the board just as you always would, or create simple shapes and sticky notes using RealtimeBoard’s tools. Use the commenting feature to start a discussion about any particular point on the board. Invite colleagues to view your board via email and participate from their desktops or mobile devices.

Interactions with your board are displayed for all participants to see in real-time. When you’re satisfied with where your board is at, table the discussion and export your work as a PDF or an image file. These files can easily be embedded in websites, blogs, or Youtube videos. They can also be emailed to colleagues who couldn’t attend the virtual brainstorming session. As a RealtimeBoard user, you have the option to sign up to receive immediate notifications when colleagues have made updates to the boards you’re participating in.
